framed; painting needs cleaning; some slight loss at the signature and near the top at the frame and craquelure evident. RG (Excellent quality. As viewed under blacklight in the unopened frame: some overpainting around the edges plus a bit more for a total of c. 6-8%; the end of the signature and the date below the signature have just been clipped by overpainting, also the 'l' and the 'f' of the signature have loss of paint; overall noticeable craquelure; lined; original stretchers; gilt frame with nicks may be later in date than the painting)
